Title: New Cannondale Slice
Post by: ijen on June 24, 2012, 05:55:03 PM
I kinda like it, but yeah, the seat post is a bit funky.

Are those built in bottle launchers?

I like the trend toward fairings on the front that hide cables.  I do not like it enough to replace my current bike, but it sure looks cleaner than having the cables exposed.

They look like they're mounted on the saddle rails. Since it sounds like they're generally a mess aerodynamically I have a hard time believing anyone would permanently integrate them.

They have a Profile design logo on them, so probably not.

For you, what size would the wheels be?

Their website needs to be updated, I don't see this bike on it.  If I get a TT bike this fall, it will be a Trek Speedconcept or the slice

My LBS Trek dealer has the 2.x speed concept for $993.

wow not bad.  I will probably get the 7.2 tho, depending on the price I can get it for, or the Slice 4.  I like the slice 4 especially since it comes with Force and is cheaper, will have to talk to the trek rep and see what he can do.  I will also sell one of my road bikes first and have to see what happens with the job situation before and TT purchases  :(

The new Felt's come in at a pretty nice price point.  If I have to get a new frame, I'll probably be looking at this new B12 at ~$1800 frameset.  Had most of the same tech as the Felt DA, just doesn't have the more complex front end (same difference between Trek SC 7 and 9).

My TT bike has a little line on the seat tube.  Looks cosmetic at this point.  But read a few other things about seat tube crack problems on this bike.  Outside of warranty.  So a new Felt may be more in my future than Id like to admit. :'(

I hope this is not the case.

I found a gouge on my bottom bracket shell this week. I freaked, then remembered that I threw my chain doing a low cadence hill repeat right before I fell over in the road. That must have done it. I was going so hard the chain blew right past the K-Edge.
