I wonder if J's recent purchase of Xbox one means I won't be hearing the musings of Trevor for awhile?

I picked up a wonderful new game for me while waiting in line at Gamestop.

The new xbox looks cool, my daughter said she wants it, she hardly plays the Wii we have.

I'm not going in on the next gen consoles. I thought about WiiU for the girls but the longer I looked at it, and the Wii we have. I decided against it. In fact the Wii just sits on the shelf. If I knew the wife wasn't going to play anymore I'd already have a media player installed on it.

I don't think I'd get anything else out of going from Ps3 to Ps4 other than a bit of better graphics. I don't have an uber setup as it is now so I'm cool with the 3.

My boss was telling me of a rumor though that has a cross platform game coming out in the next year or so. That should be interesting.

The new CoD came out and I've been playing that a lot. It's mostly just a social time for me to talk to my brother back home and friends and share war stories from work that day.

I do like running Emulators on the nexus though and playing some old school games. Tetris, Final Fantasy(ies), you know. All those games that were a blast then but look so cheesy now.

I've been toying around with building a MAME box as well out of an old laptop. Haven't got around to it. The battery is shot in it and it only works on wired power so that's a serious possibility.

CoD Ghosts seems easier than Battlefield 4.

I play mario brothers on the WiiU, it's controller is easier for me to use. I'm still getting the hang of the other one on the PS3, I suck.

I haven't touched the xbox1 yet.

OMG! Once you start buying the figurines "skylanders" you won't stop.

My nephew knows when the local stores new shipments come in. It's like the new version of baseball cards or pokemons.

I have a ps4. Have played a bit of Knack, nba2k, and received Lego Marvel Superhero's last night. Last one is more for my wife than for me, but I have to play nice sometimes.

I'd like to play some fifa and some battlefield or call of duty every once in a while, but...it's not worth the investment to me. For $100 I'd buy one, but more than that and I don't feel like I'll use it enough to justify buying it.

I'd rather buy a disc wheel that I'll use weekly+ most of the summer!
Do you think we're gonna make it? / I don't know unless we try / you could sit here scared to move / or we could take them by surprise

Got my Ps4 on nov.15, have been playing it way too much.
I currently only really have Resogun, flower, BF4, gf paid AC IV to me as a bday gift Dec 30th but took it back and wrapped it up and will only give it to me on xmas. I'm okay with it, can't really put the time in a long game at the moment.

and for the BF4 vs COD thing, IMHO, on next gen, BF4 is Far better but it suffers from a lot of bugs, they released it way too early. It's just starting to get more stable.

BF4 and COD the multiplayer is similar in difficulty but the Single player COD4 is much harder, I just went through BF4 single player at the hardest difficulty and it wasn't very hard.

however BF4 is much more diverse and interesting, you can do the good old SnD, Team deathmatch and all just like you would in COD or go in a massive Tank\Chopper\planes 64 player battle if you wish too, so crazy different than COD, it's really nice to play. I only really miss the killstreaks, that was fun. On the other hand I can go and jump in a freaking tank and blow **** up right from the start of a game.

Also nothing beats the first time you just go through a freaking building with a tank because you tought : This wall is going to stop me eh. and It Did not.  Or you Blow up a hole in a building with C4 to open a new access in a building or just to make it fall...  So yeah, BF4 also feels less arcade-ish, more realistic somehow. Anyone playing COD should give BF4 a try but on current gen they're going to be very similar and the graphics aren't too amazing on 360 compared to PS4. the leap is amazing, however no internet video will give it justice since there's a huge loss in quality because of the streaming process.

So far my PS4 has been amazing in most aspects. Even the controller is amazing, I prefer it over my 360 controller but the battery life could be better. It's still fine though I have a second controler so I just turn one off and use the other one while it's charging.

Also the PS4 Share feature is pretty cool, I just wonder why there's no sound when I share BF4 Videos.

There were some nice sales on Steam, so I picked up the GotY Edition of Dishonored. Seems pretty cool, but I'm coming off of Fallout NV - while there are similarities in the actions (WASD, crouch, jump, interact) the key bindings and mechanics are different enough to keep tripping me up and make my left hand find new and exciting ways of cramping.
