I saw the Descendants, very good movie, kinda depressing though.  Watched the new Muppet Movie Saturday night with the kids, I was disappointed, thought it would be better.

I just watched the babysitter. It wasn't as funny as i hoped.

The Sitter with Jonah Hill? Bf and I watched it last night and had a pretty good laugh. We wanted something light.

Made me want to watch The Sitter with Elisabeth Shue. I'm going to look for it on netflix.

Yeah we did too. I was mildly disappointed. I have not read the books so just from a movie storyline perspective I had some issues with the film.

First the whole relationship with her case worker seemed unnecessary. The rape scene especially so. I understand that it's part of the book and I'm sure the readers would have had a fit of that whole relationship had been left out I just did t see how it moved the movies storyline forward.

Second I felt that they did a horrible job intertwining their two storyline's.  It felt like two completely different movies going on simultaneously.

Third I felt the whole money thing at the end was useless to the story as well

Overall pretty disappointed

Watched The Hunger Games last night.  I really liked it. Very true to the book.

We saw it a couple of weeks ago.  My girls said the movie was more violent.

The hunger game reminded me a lot of a book I read a few years ago called : Battle Royale by Koushun Takami, they made movies from it.

A real lot, I couldn't shake it. I kept on comparing both. However, I really liked Battle Royale so the Hunter Games being so similar isn't a bad thing.

Never watched the BR movie though.
Challenge it because it is unreachable.

I read the books last week. The books were far more violent. They had to tone it down (as well as the blatant alcoholism of Hamish) to get the PG
