I shave my face with mine, I love it, I have a merkur razor and use astra platinum blades which are super sharp.  I use proraso shaving soap and twizzerman brush.  The brush I will upgrade soon.

Hah! I shave twice every time. I tried the Wilkinsons...not bad, pretty close even the first shave, and pretty forgiving.
