2012 race schedules?
« on: February 21, 2012, 04:35:22 PM »
Welp, it's time to start planning again.

I'm signing up for an Oly in May along with my boyfriend who is doing the Sprint.

Ironman Florida is in November... thinking of possibly a half-Iron between May and November, looking at a race in Maine (Rev3).

What are everyone else's plans? I know Datlas is signed up for a tri...

I still haven't signed up for anything yet.

I'm skipping some of the biggest (crowded) races, which are the ones that sell out though.

But other races are going to be a gametime decision when I get to the websites:).  Still debating with myself whether I should do a half ironman.

I can't really think of many races I want to do.

Rev3 has a half-Iron coming to Florida, but it's the weekend before Ironman Florida :(

I'm gonna do any local sprint that pops up, and depending on training time, possibly a Olympic distance.  I wont be ready to really compete, but this is a good year since I turn 45.

My season starts with the 7 mile bridge run in the Keys, if I am able to do 9 minute miles without too much pain at the end of the race I will be signing up for some Sprints and hopefully an Oly at the end of the season.

It's amazing how fast racing will get you into shape. That little extra motivation can go a long way to improving fitness.
Do you think we're gonna make it? / I don't know unless we try / you could sit here scared to move / or we could take them by surprise

Woot! Boyfriend and I are both registered for the Jekyll Island turtle crawl.

 :bday:

I wonder if I should have registered him as a clyde though?
