A few quality miles with the full squishy today. Went to a single ring setup up front and tested out some new rubber (CST Ouster 2.25") for mushy/muddy conditions - which it was today. Nice ride. Bike is still a big heavy pig with stupid overbuilt wheels, but the tires performed very well and I enjoyed the smooth ride.

From the new bike's first ride. There's a path here somewhere.

Went out for a couple of hours. It was warm for late fall - about 50 - so there was some mud.

Top of the hill. Still fairly clean.

Paused to clear mud next to an old sugar shack.

Brought some mud home with us.

I love where I live :D 2 hour ride this morning, spent 30 minutes of it on Trail 100... It's nice that I am seeing significant strength improvement with my new bike. The first time I rode it on these trails, I was working quite hard just to do them, today I was not working much and keeping up a much higher pace. I've also noticed significantly improved strength on the road bike as well. Singlespeed with a hard gear is great training!!!

Fun ride on the Pugs today. I feel like a little kid riding this beast. It's still awesome to take it out. Flying up behind people seems to scare 'em a bit though, then they ride poorly in an attempt to speed up - then crash. That occurred twice today. Oh well.

Obligatory holding tree up pic.

Redeemed myself for riding my geared carbon full squishy and got some quality SS fatbiking in this afternoon. New trail = lots of fun.

And the pedal that lost the fight with a rock....can't tell from the pic, but the body is bent and the spindle might be too. It doesn't want to spin too well. Time for new ones.
