Rollin' on 29s...
« on: April 14, 2012, 03:40:14 PM »
I've been thinking about getting a trail bike for a while, since my boyfriend has one and we do have some nice trails around here. Also, Oscar isn't the best bike for tooling around the beach on...

Anyway, I went to the Trek store to check in for tomorrow's duathlon and just so happened they are running a store wide sale. Took it for a spin around the block, and decided the $110 discount was enough incentive for me to just pick this one up.

Haven't had much time to check things out on it, but it has Sram shifters and Shimano everything else. It's a triple, for all the mountains I'll be climbing with it. It's also my favorite color.

I had the store remove the dork disk, but yeah, I need to take th reflectors off too. All in all, $600 out the door and I'm pretty happy. I refused to buy their $40 bottle cages though...

No reason, really, other than for the price the bike had great reviews.
