I have not been bothering posting my trips to the gym and back on my Raleigh.  8miles each way with a swim in between was just not worth it.

Most of my training has been on the trainer.

It just feels like cheating until the wind chill is double digits below zero ;D   Besides that the border hostilities are escalating in the DMZ of split fan bases that I live in.  The game being in Chicago has decamped the opposing teams warriors to the state line in anticipation so its a little tense.  I was quizzed the second I walked into a convenience store today and barely recovered in time to murmur something about the packers in time to be allowed another step into the store.  I received extra credit for buying cheese and apologizing for the cold slowing my natural reflex.

I was starting to think that I'm the on person here who rides.  Maybe I am.

i am too old to risk blowing my knees up sprinting in ten below weather.

Why not keep pedaling down the road and forget the swim?  At best, this shows poor judgment.

Eight miles counts though--especially if you are going up against the urban assault vehicle commandos.

A little extra in the mid section makes biking harder but helps you in the pool.  Besides the float its like being more aero. :P

I just rode two handicap shovels down the driveway which is only notable because every time I lost momentum I ended up pedaling in place.  It was dry puffy snow and our high was like 10 F but for some reason it made the ground underneath slick. Technically I didn't ride them till I was done using them as a snow plow.  They are utterly worthless in any other circumstance but the angled handle works pretty good for skiing if you lean forward enough.

124 miles this week.  Not bad for January.

Two rides today.  A lot of sand, but limited ice and a generous amount of sun.

124 miles this week.  Not bad for a mild Southern climate.

Tomorrow might hit 15 F for a half hour so I am going to make a concerted effort to do a couple 10 mile loops.  The wind chill has been a killer lately with the air being so humid.
