The free stuff thread...
« on: February 02, 2011, 05:24:54 PM »
Have bike stuff you don't need? Share!

I'll set an example and go first.

I've got 2 plastic side-loading bottle cages. They're in very good shape, I just don't need them anymore. Since they're not worth a whole lot, I'd rather ship them somewhere in the US only. Let me know if you want 'em.

To those giving: Please keep shipping costs reasonable!

To those receiving: Please give others a shot at getting something they may need if you have already benefited from the generosity of others.

My son could surely use them!  His frame is so small he can't get a regular water bottle in or out.  If they are still available, he'll put them to good use.  And you'd make a 9yo boy very happy  :)

Let me know (and shipping, more than happy to reimburse that), and thanks!  Great idea for a thread too.

I have some take-off parts (like new) from my Allez I'd happily pass along for the cost of shipping.

- Carbon seatpost with ~10mm setback
- Aluminum wing top handlebar, 42cm width, 31.8mm clamp
- Rival saddle, white, 143mm width

I have two aluminum black bottle cages, not the lightest, but they get the job done for the commuter or mtb.

I could put that saddle to use if you've still got it.

Saris Bones II (2 bike carrier)   You pay shipping (I have no idea how much that will be)

It is in perfect shape, I just don't have a coupe anymore, and that rack does not work on a pickup.

EDIT:  Shipped to Wylde

how much does it weigh?

with all the bumping of my rd taking the bike into and out of my trunk ive been thinking of getting one of these

looking at the ups website, and amazon, it looks like shipping would be right around 20 bucks, and the usps website shows right around 14 dollars.  if you can confirm this i will take it

Wylde, I'll bring it to a UPS store and check shipping to OH.  PM me your info, and I'll be in touch.

Oh, and it is a great rack.  I used it to drive to Austin in horrible storms, with no sway.  Also, when I sold my BMW, there were no scratches.
