Yes
Vicelord: if I stay in the right position I could win any of the races I've been in

It's not clear if it's all of Rock Creek that's out or just upper Rock Creek from Toms Place (after 395).
Lower Rock Creek is in Mono county and some of the county supervisors hate the race as do some of the people who live in that little subdivision at the bottom.  They're the reason Steve had to change the order of the climbs a few years ago.  So it may be that he can't get a permit for Rock Creek at all.

The pipeline/Gorge rd climb on the other side of 395 is about the same elevation gain as lower Rock Creek. Not sure if it is also in Mono county but it's not on USFS land.

Just got a reply... no rock creek at all.

Somewhat disappointing, but one positive about finishing at South Lake is that the return is really easy.

yeah, if there is a worst climb of the 3 I have done on day 1, south lake is by far it. so ugly for the first half.

True, but the endless grinding up a featureless plain thing is kind of cool.
