2015 Tour De France (spoilers allowed here)
« on: July 04, 2015, 09:23:58 AM »
The speeds these guys are doing today...

Even Quintana averaged 32mph.  (If the distances are correct)

Anyway, here's my podium prediction for Paris

1.  Contador (by 2+ minutes)
2.  Quintana
3.  Froome

Yeah I probably agree with those three, maybe through Nibali in the mix as well.  I just hope 1. it's an exciting race and 2. no one from sky wins.

They made a short mention of the wind picking up later in the day and becoming a headwind for the last part.  I'm gonna say this was 50% skill and 50% luck for Dennis.

Too bad they didn't show any of it.

I don't think I have seen the race officially neutralized because of a crash in a long time.

Looked like a bunch of riders were arguing with the officials in the car.

Those riders should have respected the yellow jersey, who was visibly shaken and struggling to catch on.

F Froome, I cannot stand him, at least he didn't win the stage.

I can't wait to get back home or work so I can listen/watch the Eurosport feed, NBC coverage and Phil are terrible.

wtf, it looked like Tony Martin caused that crash, he swung to the right and bounced a guy into Nibali. I couldn't see any cause for him tomake that move.

He's holding his arm, looks like he may be pretty hurt.

Edit: They are showing it zoomed up and in slow-mo, and he touched the wheel of the Europcar guy ahead of him.

this was asked about in chat...  I think they used to leave more room for eachother in the pack back in the old days (around 41 minutes in)
