Everest Challenge 2015
« on: August 12, 2015, 07:21:11 PM »
Hi guys.  I've been busy and cutting down on my internet.

It's looking like there will be no EC this year.  The promotor seems to have disappeared.  He's never been that great about internet but he's not responding posts on his facebook page, where he was active.  Or answering email or phone calls.
(see http://windinmyface.com/blog/2015/20150803_1132-EverestChallenge2015-not-happening.html).

I hope he's ok.   Besides the fact that he's a nice guy, he puts on all my favorite races.
I'm bummed that EC is probably not happening.  I'm riding strong (for me) and aged up this year.

Any of you guys interested in going out there and riding anyhow?

Dead to us!

Seriously, tho, that sucks about EC.  All you people in california have all the greatest rides/races/etc. I really need to move.
WC is the Debil.

Same as EC was scheduled for, the last weekend in September.
We'd need to line up at least one support car.  Laura probably would not be able to make it.
I was thinking of posting on Steve Barnes' Facebook page since that's where all the regulars look for info.

To be honest I'm not sure I could finish it as a ride without the added pressure/incentive of racing.

My week off to go to nationals was just approved, so that's September 10th-14th. I think that rules out any more trips in September, and by October there's pretty good odds of snow. :/

Bummer, it'd be fun to ride with you again.  And the climbs are so wide open that I'd be able to keep you in sight for a while.

Knock 'em dead at Nationals!  Which races are you doing?
