I tried getting your attention in the twitter thread about this.  Suffervision thinks my rides start Along the Southern Coast of South Africa before traversing the great blue seas to Wisconsin and doesn't register any of the other riders.  I think it hates me.

rando, do you have your location hidden for where you live?  I do and it does the same.  I dont think it likes that

Hey Tom, good to see you found out little corner of the Internet.

I don't know if you ever saw the old "dot racing" feature of motionbased before Garmin bought them and wrecked it, but it had an option I would like to see in suffervsion. I don't remember their names for it but I'll call it "real time" and "same time". Real time plays all the rides where they are relative to each other on the road. That is what suffervsion does. Same time plays all the rides together regardless of when they actually started, so that you could compare different riders from different times as though they were riding or racing together.

Hi Steve,

That's something I've definitely been planning.  It just hasn't gotten to the front of the queue.

Cheers,
Tom

That's cool. So many in the race using Strava too. They must be happy.

Has anyone got thoughts on the ideal camera/mount system for mounting a camera on the bike?  I like the Contour but their handlebar mount seems huge and unnecessarily complicated.

There is some discussion of mounts in the ride video thread. Personally, I use(d) a low profile mount zip-tied to the stem.

I'm brand new to this. I tried the Contour mounts but I'm not happy with them. I am going to try a Go-Pro style handlebar mount next. It's comprised of a K-Edge Go-Pro handlebar mount and a Drift Go-Pro adapter that has a 1/4"-20 tripod thumbscrew. I will post results in the video thread.

i remember the dot-racing. it was cool!

my friend was a founder of motionbased and i was an early data collector. had some really cool, progressive stuff for the time.
