Running in DC
« on: March 10, 2013, 06:57:59 PM »
Don't know if anyone on the board is in that 'general area' or been to DC but I plan on being in there in a few weeks and want to run while I'm there. The hotel will have a treadmill but I really just don't want to do that. Last time I was there everyone was running in the park area between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington I think. I'm to far away from that but I'm only going to be 2 blocks from Union St.. So the question is. Where can I run around there? Is it ok to run on the sidewalks early morning before everyone heads out to work? I'll most likely only be doing 3 mile outings so I don't need a long distance. Just something close to the hotel.

thanks, in advance.

Did a quick search on DC rainmaker's blog.

http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2012/03/top-10-reasons-i-love-running-in.html

And maybe you'll find something else with this tag http://www.dcrainmaker.com/tag/washington-dc

It's the best I can do.
Challenge it because it is unreachable.

Got back from my trip. Didn't run once. Vacation happened. Came home. Leave it at that. Probably missed a great opportunity to do something awesome. Moving on. Just glad to be back home.
