Those are pretty neat looking.  I may have to get some myself.

EDIT: Never mind, too expensive.

Why? Reading about them, they sound similar to all the other 'minimal' running shoes.

What makes them worth the 40% premium (they look to be 40% more expensive)?

They just feel molded to my foot. They have this great squishy/springy base. And to me, they don't feel "minimal" at all. Maybe because I've spent so much time in the Merrells and VFFs?

The price premium... well they went on dad's credit card, so...  :shh:

At least they have a 90 day try em and love em return policy, so we'll see how longer runs go. I'd like to make them my marathon shoe if they remain as comfy as they seem.

interesting.

a shoe that encourages forefoot initial contact, but provides cushion.

That would be worth a premium.  Damn, I haven't had Dad's CC in 30 yrs!

Vibrams and actual barefoot. Real barefoot is way slower, still, but I'm learning that I overreach with the VFFs and end up with some blistering if I'm not careful.
